Butchery Assistant / Meat Processing Staff

Germany’s meat industry offers a wide range of job opportunities in traditional butcher shops, supermarket meat departments, and industrial meat processing plants. This role is suitable for hardworking and detail-oriented individuals who are interested in food processing and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cutting meat products (beef, pork, poultry, etc.)

  • Operating meat processing machinery (slicers, grinders, packaging equipment)

  • Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards at all times

  • Weighing, labeling, and packaging meat products

  • Assisting customers with meat selection and product information (in retail settings)

  • Cleaning workstations, tools, and refrigeration equipment

Requirements:

  • Interest in food production, especially meat processing

  • Physical stamina and ability to work in cool environments

  • Respect for hygiene and food handling regulations

  • Teamwork, discipline, and reliability

  • Willingness to work early shifts, weekends, and holidays

  • German language skills at level B1 or higher (language training is provided by AW-Recruiting)
